Known for our environmentally sound landscaping, we have taken care to ensure that the surrounding terrain and plant life have been left virtually untouched, allowing indigenous flora and fauna - such as saguaros, mesquite, palo verde trees, duck, coyotes, and deer - to prosper. In acknowledgment of our eco-friendly design, our breathtaking resort has been awarded the Urban Land Institute's Environmental Award of Excellence and the Valley Forward Association's Crescordia Award of Environmental Excellence, and we look forward to earning further recognition in the future. - Native grasses on our
golf courses, which require less water than typical terrain
- Use of organic chemicals on our golf courses, used when possible
- Recycling program, for cardboard, office paper, grease and refrigerant recycling
- 5,280 square foot organic garden, producing vegetables, fruit, herbs and spices for resort kitchens and spa products
- Organic menu focus and organic wine choices, available at on-site
restaurants
- After spa services, filtered water is provided in corn-based cups rather than plastic water bottles or petroleum-based cups
- Organic spa products, eco-conscious companies include Naturopathica, Kerstin Florian and Tara Spa Therapy. Providing not only natural and organic products, but also conduct their daily business in a manner that reflects the values of the

- Eco-friendly products at our
home store, including clothing, body care items and handbags
- Use of CFL bulbs, resort-wide
- Use of green seal, approved cleaning products in Housekeeping
- Use of front-loading washers, use 60 percent less water, 50 percent less detergent and 40 percent less electricity. Guestroom and outlet linens are laundered on-site, eliminating transportation to an off-site laundry
- Option for guests, to have towels and/or sheets replaced daily
- Implemented internal policy, to turn off lighting and adjust air conditioning when meeting rooms and casitas are not occupied
- Carpool Program, for employees
