Directions From Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport via 101 Pima Freeway
From Sky Harbor Airport, follow the airport signs to the 202 East Exit. Take the 202 East to the Pima Freeway 101 North. Continue on the 101 traveling north for approximately 17 miles to Scottsdale Road (Exit #34). At Scottsdale Road turn right and continue north for approximately 10 miles. Continue just past the intersection of the Carefree Highway and Scottsdale Road. The entrance to The Boulders is 200 yards north of the Carefree Highway on the right side of the road. About 35 miles from Airport to Resort and approximately 50-55 minutes.
Directions From Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport via State Route 51 Piestewa Parkway
From Sky Harbor Airport, travel west to enter State Route 51 Piestewa Parkway. Travel north on SR 51 approximately 16 miles to Loop 101 East. Merge right (east) onto Loop 101 and travel approximately 2 miles to Scottsdale Road (Exit #34). Turn left onto Scottsdale Road traveling north approximately 9 miles. Continue just past the intersection of the Carefree Highway and Scottsdale Road. The entrance to The Boulders is 200 yards north of the Carefree Highway on the right side of the road.
Directions From Southern Arizona (Tucson)
Travel North on I-10 for approximately 2½ hours to the Santan Freeway 202. Travel east to the 101 North. Continue on the 101 north to the exit #34 at Scottsdale Road. Exit the freeway and turn right (north) onto Scottsdale Road – travel approximately ten miles past the intersection at Carefree Highway. The Boulders main gate will be on the right (east) side of Scottsdale Road (approximately 1/8 mile north of the traffic light at Carefree Highway). Total driving time is approximately 2½ to 3 hours.
Directions From Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Los Angeles & San Diego
Take interstate 10 traveling east into Arizona. Entering the Phoenix area, take the 101 -Agua Fria Freeway – heading north. Stay on the 101 north 14 miles to the Scottsdale Road exit (#34). Turn left traveling north on Scottsdale Road approximately 10½ miles. The boulders main entrance is 200 yards north of Carefree Highway on the right side of Scottsdale Road.
